Stay human. Everyone here is a real person who passed the same check you did, and they’re posting under their own name. Treat them like you would in person.

Be yourself

• One person, one personal account.
• Don’t pretend to be another person or organization, or to work somewhere you don’t.
• No bots and no accounts run by software pretending to be a person.
• Don’t sell, rent or lend your account or handle.

Don’t hurt people

• No threats, harassment or hate.
• Don’t post someone’s private information or private pictures.
• Nothing that encourages self-harm.

Things that are never allowed

• Anything that sexualizes a child. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities.
• Pornography.
• Selling or arranging anything illegal.

Don’t spam

• Email from your Channel address is for people you have a real reason to write to.
• No scams, fake engagement or bulk messages.
• Organizations don’t message people first, and can’t ask someone else to do it for them.

Reporting and blocking

Anything on Channel can be reported from its … menu, and you can block anyone. You can see what happened to your reports in Settings, under Privacy and safety.

What we do

We use automated tools and people to review content. We may label, blur or remove it, limit an account, or close one. Because every account is one verified person, closing an account is serious, and it’s meant to last. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@channel.is.
